David Paul Walton, 72, of Nashua, New Hampshire, died supported by his loving family on September 2, 2022. He was born on December 11, 1949, in Shelbyville, Indiana and grew up in Nashua. He graduated from Nashua Senior High School and was proud of his service in the United States Army from 1970-1972.
David fought a valiant 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. The family would like to thank Dr. Hassan Yameen and the oncology staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The care and support he received from his nurses, doctors, and others was appreciated beyond measure. David and Diane felt like they became a part of the family. The family would also like to thank Home Health and Hospice Care and the Community Hospice House for making his last days peaceful.
He was a devoted family man, had a strong faith in God, was a faithful (but jaded) Boston sports fan, and he loved his years spent relaxing at his lake house - especially the time he spent with his best friend Peter. David enjoyed a good beer, often while watching the game at home or at the Club National with friends and family.
He was a loyal employee of nearly 48 years at Kollsman/Elbit Systems, where he took great pride in his work and left many friends.
David is survived by his “trophy” wife, Diane (Fariz), son Jordan Walton and wife Jennifer, of Clark, NJ, daughter Kaylene Chausse and husband Adam of Londonderry, NH, son Spencer Walton of Manchester, NH, and grandchildren Brady, Grace, Finn, Kearsley, Coen, and Oakland.
He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Valerie (Berube) Walton, his siblings Karen, John, and Paula, and his grandson Quinton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations honoring David’s life be made to either the Community Hospice House or Home Health and Hospice Care, www.hhhc.org or to the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, www.hsfn.org.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022 at 10AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 29 Spring St. Nashua, NH. Burial will be held privately at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Basic Cremation N.E.
