Ms. Joyce E. (Brisbane) McGuire, 82, died on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the Community Hospice House. She had lived in Milford, NH for 31 years.

Ms. McGuire was born on December 29, 1940 in Union City, MI to William and Viola Brisbane. She was married to James McGuire, Jr. for 34 years.

She was formally a clerical worker for over 16 years for Illinois Department of Public Aid and 25 years for Kenmore Stamp Company of Milford, NH.

She was active as a Girl Scout when she was younger reaching the Girls Scout Gold Award, as an adult was active in both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America serving as Leader, Den Leader, Committee Member for Boy Scouts for her children.

She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church. Having served as a vestry member, choir member and a delegate to several Diocesan Conventions. Also at Church of Our Saviour served as a Co-Convenor for the Hospitality Committee.

Her greatest enjoyment was going to see Lighthouses along the east coast with her son Brian. Her most serene moments were at the Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine.

Preceded in death by her parents William and Viola Brisbane, brother Carl L. Brisbane and her former spouse James McGuire, Jr.. Surviving are her oldest son, Darren (Kandy) McGuire of Savannah, Tennessee, daughter, Alice (Wayne) Myers of Naperville, Illinois, youngest son, Brian McGuire of Milford, New Hampshire, 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, brother, Paul (Judy) Brisbane of Coldwater, Michigan and various beloved nieces and nephews from the Michigan area (where she grew up) and others scratted across the United States.

A memorial Eucharist was held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church in Milford, NH.
