Judith Resnick

May 30, 1950 — January 25, 2023

Judith Allen Resnick passed away at her home in Stow, MA, on January 25, 2023. She was 72. Judith Ann was born on May 30, 1950 in South Boston. She was raised and educated in Sudbury, MA. She had a happy childhood in the company of family and close friends, and she enjoyed a dozen childhood summers on Cape Cod where she and her brother, Peter, spent every waking minute at the beach. Judi was happy on the water throughout her life: she was as content paddling her kayak on Lake Sebago as she was fishing from her father’s boat in Buzzards Bay. In addition, she loved to hike the wooded trails in Maine and New Hampshire and run the dogs in winding, open fields. Like her mother, Judi was a Red Sox fan and loved to sit and watch a Sox game on a warm summer night. She was a real New England girl with a bright smile and a love of life.
For more than 30 years she worked as a Human Resources professional in the Boston area. She was a competent, serious professional who used her position to help employees navigate the world of insurance, finance, and employee relations. She wore many hats throughout her time in Human Resources and used her array of talents to make people’s lives better. Judi was a kind professional who performed her duties and met her responsibilities with the same grace she reserved for other areas of her life. But her real passion were Vizslas. Oh how she loved those dogs. For most of her life, Judi threw herself into raising, training, showing, fostering, adopting, and transporting Vizslas. It was a labor of love and gave her both a focus and another way to use her talents and to give of herself. In addition, she was an active member of the Vizsla Club of Central New England, and a strong supporter of other national organizations, including, the Vizsla Rescue Haven in California, New Hope Vizsla Rescue, the Vizsla Club of Long Island, and a handful of others.
Judith Allen Resnick is the daughter of Howard Newell Allen and Anna McDonnell (both deceased) of Sudbury, MA. She leaves behind Peter Allen (brother) of Valdosta, GA, his wife, Judith King Allen of Jupiter, FL, and their children, Corey Allen of Annapolis, MD, and Jessica Allen of Chelmsford, MA. In addition, she leaves behind nephews and nieces Grace, Michael, Matthew, Craig, and Jameson as well as a group of dear friends made over a lifetime. Judi was a kind spirit and a good soul; she was generous with her time, her love, and her friendship. She wanted the best for everyone and tried to see the best in everyone. She will be missed by all of us who know her well. Donations in Judi’s memory are welcome by the Vizsla Club of Central New England (https://vccne.net)
