Sheila Mclaughlin

Sheila Margaret (Murphy) McLaughlin passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 28, 2024. She was born in Boston MA April 5, 1937 to Dr Joseph T. and Margaret Murphy.
She attended parochial schools, graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Newton, MA.
She earned a nursing degree from St. Elizabeth’s Nursing School in Brighton, MA.
Sheila married the love of her life Brian J McLaughlin in 1960. Together they made a home in East Kingston, NH and raised seven children.
Sheila worked as an RN, a clerk for the East Kingston Post Office, and as a sales person at Sanborn’s Candy Store in Plaistow, NH.
Sheila was an avid walker and enjoyed crocheting, music, visiting with friends, spending time with family, and the beach.
Sheila was predeceased by her husband Brian of 38 years, three brothers: Joseph, Daniel, and Thomas Murphy, and is survived by two brothers: Kevin (wife Mary), Brian (wife Pat) Murphy, and two sisters: Rosemary Tavalone and Brenda Caggiano.
Sheila is survived by her children: Kathleen McLaughlin of Exeter, NH, Brian McLaughlin of Hampton, NH, Beth Dumas and her husband Robert of Stratham, NH, Kevin McLaughlin and his wife Mary-Ellen of Brentwood, NH, Colleen Beane and her husband Jeffrey of Exeter, NH, Mark McLaughlin and his wife Rekha of North Hampton, NH, and Eric McLaughlin and his wife Rubia of Fremont, NH, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels Church in Exeter, NH. Interment will be private.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
